Then wouldn't that hurt the hell out of her feet? How could she walk without breaking them?
If Cinderella wore glass slippers?
The fairy godmother made sure they were lined with clear gel inserts... yeah... Cinderella was SO gellin
Plus, they had clear rubber bottoms to keep from slipping
They didn't have gelsoles or rubber back then, that's why you needed a FAIRY GODMOTHER to get these shoes.
Reply:Dude they not only were glass but they also knew how to dance perfectly. That is why she was so amazing. Do you think a maid has any time and opportunity to learn waltzes and tangos. Watching Dancing with the Stars should show everybody that ballroom dancing is tough.
Reply:Are you trying to make glass slippers?
Reply:Duhhh!
Hate to be the one to break this to you.
Cinderella is a fairy tale.
Reply:because everything in fairy tales is possible?
Reply:Your right it would break them and she would get glass shreads in her feet them there would be blood every where(that would have made a better fairy tale LOL) I always wondered who made the slippers i mean come on glass
Reply:If I send you a dime, will you go out and buy yourself a clue?
Reply:thats exactly what i thought!!! but its just a story and its not real, but if it was real then the fairy god mother must have put some stuff in them lol :]]
Reply:The slipper was originally made of a type of fur (vair in French)
Check it out. Hope it helps.
The most popular version of Cinderella was written by Charles Perrault in 1697. The popularity of his tale was due to his additions to the story including the pumpkin, the fairy-godmother and the introduction of glass slippers. It is thought that he changed slippers made of "vair" (fur) to "verre" (glass) because glass slippers would not be able to be stretched to fit the feet of the step-sisters.
Reply:Thats exactly wat i've been thinking. lol. The fairy godmother prolly protected them from breaking. Thats why she said get home before midnight.
Reply:Cinderella is a fairy tale,
but if it was true
the slippers wouldn't break because they were made by magic
aka the fairy godmother
and they wouldn't hurt a lot if they were specially made for her feet!
Reply:lolz...beauty has a price and cinderellie paid with her feet=]
Reply:you have a point there....... but who knows maybe the shoes where made out of plastic.... and they just said they where made out of glass... but also in the movie Ever After..... the shoes that Cinderella wears are made out of glass.... and i think one of them brakes.... and also if you haven't seen this movie .... Cinderella is played by Drew Barrymore
Reply:How can I compete Losin is no option should get 100 points
Reply:In other versions of the folktale (Cap O'Rushes, Kari Woodengown, Aschenputtel-Grimm Brothers), her shoes become increasingly valuable---copper or spangled silk satin, to silver, to gold over three nights. Perrault features only two evenings of dancing. Modern folklore experts are challenging the intent of the shoes to have been fur or glass; glass artwork was extremely valuable in the 17th Century in France. Many court shoes were what we would consider low-heeled mules, and were made of hard materials.
Reply:Yes they would hurt her feet - terribly I'm sure, but I don't think they'd break b/c they would be engineered to be functional. That's the funny thing about many women's shoes - totally wearable but incredibly painful. I've given up on most painful shoes but I still break out my shiny leather pointed toe, stiletto heal boots now and then ;-) Oh the joys of being a girl...
Reply:They were magic! DUH!
