slippers are more like bed type things all warm and soft, and flip-flops are the sandals that have a thing that goes between your big toe and the next one and goes "flip-flop" when you walk. aka thongs, but nobody calls them that anymore...
Reply:slippers are comfy shoes you wear before going to bed at night and when you get up in the morning...basically they're footwear for night clothes. Flip-flops are shoes you wear in summer because they don't cover your whole foot, so they're cool!
